Hot Chocolate

Would you guys like to have some hot chocolate? I am not referring to the typical hot chocolate you have everyday, it's a special chocolate. It is actually chili milk chocolate, I bet some of must be thinking why on earth would you use chili to make chocolate right? You probably have heard of chili vodka, chili martini, but chili chocolate? If I am not mistaken that I have seen it before on travel and discovery, they actually did made some chili chocolates in Mexico.

It actually seems so weird, usually chocolate has always been complemented with nuts, Turkish delight, caramel, and others. Therefore I took one to see how does it taste like, the spiciness does not kick in straight away like the usual chili we eat. Instead it comes by slowly, heating it up in your mouth. The scoville scale of the chocolate is bearable, unlike eating chili padi where the scoville scale is pretty high. I do recommend you guys to try it out, something really different and new indeed. Best consume when you are craving for something spicy and sweet, also when in a cold environment.

Becky & Haw Nen

Last weekend I attended my ex colleague's wedding, who happens to be my ex high school mate senior and her brother was my school mate during my batch. I was surprise to find out Kid chan's team is actually their photographer, and Kid Chan himself was not there. With such busy schedule, I bet the waiting list to get him in person to photograph your wedding is so long that it might take a year. Kid chan did an amazing job for their wedding photo, I must say I am really impress with his works and hopefully I can meet him one day.

Ever since I joined the corporate world, most of the people I know are already planning to settle down. I just attended a wedding just now, well I was partly attending and emceeing the reception. Even most of my ex class mates are married already! They are parents already and they have a few kids! Respect to them. The food was great, my favourite dish of the night was the cod fish. It was Just one of the best fish I have ever eaten, must learn the secrets!

I would like to wish Becky and Haw Nen all the best and congratulations to them, God bless you two!

Proton Saga BLM

This is one of the most anticipated national car of the year, the car has finally been launch after reading so much of the news and seeing the spy shots from Paul Tan. I was curious how good would the car turn out to be, I decided to drop by one of the show rooms to check it out. I must say that Proton has done a pretty good job on this one, the design of the car was simple but yet nice. What more to say the price is very reasonable for the 1.3 litre 5 seater sedan, the price ranging from RM30k to RM42K for the northern territory.

At the first glimpse, the interior was pretty decent. Instead of the cheap crap cream color, they use dark colors like black and gray which was a good choice. The dashboard was simple, without adding the pointless analog clock like the Gen2. The color of the meter is orange in color, it looks great. The best part the car is, it comes with cup holders, that is a very important accessory in a car that many people will be looking for. The size of the trunk is big, with the capacity of 413 litre. you can fit in two 14 inch sub woofers without a problem, you still have space to put in for stuff. The car is pretty spacious, especially for a guy like me who is 6ft 1. The front seats have a height adjuster, comes in very handy for tall people. Since I had no problem with the space, there should be no problem for big size people to fit in the car's front and back seat.

If you look carefully, the back light of the car is actually very similar to the Mercedes E class. Since this is the first batch, I do not know what sort of problems might occur. I suppose we shall wait and see, I think that overall it's a very decent car for the lower income group. Of course at this kind of price range, we cannot demand too much out of it. The sad thing about proton is that they could done this a long time ago to compete against the motor giants, why only recently they start showing improvements? Sad that our country always take such a long time to do something, at least they are doing something now aren't they? I have yet to test drive the car to see the handling, you can get more info, photos and better reviews at Paul's blog. check out the photos I have below.

Dynasty Chinese Restaurant

I have probably have patronized this place for a couple of times already, I still like the food there very much because they consistenly maintained the quality of the food. Last night Auntie Changyi and Kynan Invited me over for dinner, Kynan picked me up after my training sessions at the gym. We arrived there around 7:15pm like that, we were greeted by friends of Auntie Changyi.

The first dish of the night was roasted suckling pig, I have tasted the suckling pig there before and I know it going to be very delicious. The crispy skin and the juicy tender meat was simply marvelous, not too charred and it was just perfect.

Photobucket

Next we have the fried meedin with wine, this is a very common dish you can find in almost every Chinese restaurant here. The meedin tasted great, there was no sticky feeling when you chew it.

Photobucket

Up next it's the seafood box tofu with green vegetables, this dish takes a lot of skills to prepare. The tofu is really delicate and easily damaged if not properly handle. The chefs managed to create a box out of the tofu with damaging it, stuffing it with seafood and mushrooms. Excellent work done by the chef, you guys have to try it if you go there.

Photobucket

Last but not least, it's the okra(I think that is what it's called) The okra consist of lady's fingers, egg plant, and beans. I am not a fan of ladies fingers and eggplants, I ended up digging up the beans for myself. It actually tasted very much like the ones I had at Pinnoy Pandungan Kuching the Filipino restaurant. Pretty good and a little spicy.

Photobucket

Actually there was a plate of fried noodles but I have forgotten to take a photo of it, we were all stuffed by the end. It was fantastic, at least we do not feel bloated and that is the kind of feeling you should have after a dinner in order to go for after dinner booze. Dynasty Chinese Restaurant is strongly recommended by me, the price is moderate but it is very worth it.

For more info or bookings please call 085-421111, many thanks to Kynan and Auntie Changyi for the lovely dinner

Creative docoration

Some people are probably still on the holiday mood, Christmas is over for almost 2 weeks plus already. Chinese new year is around the corner. During this time of the year people start decorating the place with Chinese ornaments or anything that is relevant to it. However I remember reading one post from Joyce's blog, she sort of creatively decorated her place with Christmas decors during Chinese new year. Today When i went to my other colleague's department, I saw this.

Photobucket

I guess some people still cannot get over the holiday season mood, instead of getting rid of the previous holiday decor, why not combining it and making it a fusion.

Stupid motorist

Now and days the people in Miri drive like they inherited the road from JKR, the way this assholes drive can really drive you up the wall. Usually you would think that it is Gangsters or those Ah bengs or those inexperience drivers is the one to blame, the sad part is that these inconsiderate assholes happens to be adults or middle age people. And they always complain about us the youth who drives like a schumacher wannabe, I think it's time that these people should realize that they are corrupting the minds of young drivers.

The thing that really ticks me off, they cannot even bother to signal when making a turn. Can't you assholes even signal before a turn? does it hurt to do so? at least we don't have to wait like an idiot and saves us more valuable time before coming out from a junction. I would suggest a method that would force these idiotic drivers to signal, first we secretly install a sensor that would tell the car when it's making a turn into a junction. Then secretly install a shocker that is as strong as a tazer gun that sends current to the steering. If the driver fails to signal to the direction, an electric shock will be send out to give them a shock of their life and to always signal when they are making a turn into a junction. Only when they put the signal on then the shocker will be shut off, if method fails repeat again and again untilt he next day and the next day and the next day.........
It may sound a Little over rated, well all I am asking is be a little considerate to the rest who is using the road. You assholes don't own the roads ok? If you refuse to do so, Let's just hope your car will end up in the longkang.

Botak in the making

So it's the new year already, everyone wants to new things in their life. Things like new resolution, handphone, clothes, shoes and etc, so me and Rin decided to get a new hairstyle. Sometimes I don't even know what hairstyle to use before work, I know ladies have more trouble choosing their hairstyle than us men. Want to know what style me and Rin chose? check out the photos below.

So what do you think? pretty good? It's very economy, no need hair products to style, minimal shampoo used to clean and easy to be dry off. I forgotten to bring my camera to the saloon that day, so we had to use Jeremy's Nokia phone to take the photos. And Rining did not had that mohawk, we just wanted to see how would it look like only.

Good bye

I remember the first day when my brother brought you back home, grandma was furious about us bringing animals in the house. But despite the restrictions, we still keep you. Slowly grandma learns to accept your presence around then house, even though you still destroyed the couch. I remember how you annoyed my mom when she moping the floor, you would ran up chasing it. Not to mention the time when my mom was talking on the phone, you wanted her to pamper you and keep on annoying her. I remember how you would bite and scratch us spontaneously, making us all mad at you. I remember how you would go pester mom when you smell freshly steamed corns, and we always give it to you. That is just how you are, we cannot change the fact.

I know that sooner or later she has to go, I am just glad that she did not have suffer but she died peacefully this afternoon. You will not be forgotten but always in our heart. We will miss you Mimi.

Hello 2008!

Good bye 2007 and say hello to 2008, in a blink of an eye it's already a year passed. So much has change and so much good and bad stuff happen, I guess it's time for a new year resolution. Resolutions are always broken and never easy to keep, so my resolution this year is to not overspend.

I attended the Rave party countdown last night at the indoor stadium, the rave was organized by Rukun tetangga krokop Miri and a couple more organizations. Thanks to my friend for giving me the ticket, I wouldn't have gone there since I was stinking broke. Before the rave DJ outlaw had a preview show at Thai bar, he played those commercial remixes which was huge turn off. Until last night, he played some pretty good stuff. But he still played a couple of those crap there, I guess I was wrong about him.

So the rave turns pretty well, with good response, sound and lighting. They even invited a politician to officiate the rave, he was there until the lucky draw. We were thinking of teaching him the Melbourne shuffle, wouldn't it be cool that if he can actually dance? a lot of people has left around 1am to 2am, which is very normal here .

Photobucket

Today I woke up to find that some fucker broke my padlock, according to my sister that fucker even came up and rang the door bell! I guess it must be some tripping bastard thinking that it was his house and he could not get the locks open, stupid idiot!

A happy new year to you all out there and have a great 2008.
