Pain Ball

Finally there is good news for all paintball fans in Miri, it was recently establish here in the Petronas Sports village. It was me and Rining's first time playing paintball, hence we were nervous about getting hit by the pellets. To play the game you will need RM80 per person with 200 pellets, a mask, a vest and a neck bracer and extra 100 pellets for RM25. For membership you will need RM1000 as registration fee, RM20 per entry and you are entitled to buy 2000 pellets for RM300. So you like play with guns? you have come to the right place my friends.

I can't really get a proper shot of the battle field, since it was covered with nets and i don't think you would want to risk bringing your camera during the shoot out. I got hit in the head, wrist, stomache and my little brother, it doesn't really hurt that bad. I am so going back for more.

Before you say anything about the last photo, i know i need to loose it up a little. Pain for pleasure!

Need reformating!

hello there people I have not been updating much, i'm now in my friend's office using their laptop. My pc is currently infested with bugs and shits which disables me from connecting online, my bro knew the solution earlier and did not bother to tell me until the last minute(bugger!).

I will have to wait for the end of the month to purchase an external hard disk with 250GB, yes i know it's huge! it'll come in handy for storing photos. Till my pc is fix i shall update once again. Cheers!

Steambot

Cousin andee, Linda and my little newphew David was in Miri for a night. Since Fax do not provided transits, my cousin had to stay one night in Miri before departing to Kuching. I did not expect a steambot dinner, it's been a while since i last had one. My mom have this habit that whoever our close relatives are coming, she will prepare a big feast. I was feeling bloated again from the food, no indigestions this time :).

A mail from New Zealand

Today my sister told me that we had a mail from New Zealand, it made wonder who sent it and what was in the mail. The weird thing was the letter was attention to Sarah & Brian Davey, since when was my mom call "Sarah" and my dad was call "Brian. The sender got the my post box address correct, i am still curious how on earth did they get my address.

It seems like the sender is working for a hospital in Rotorua, their parents are on a vacation trip around the world.

It seems like they're planning a trip around Europe, she is trying to send the tour itineraries to her parents.

If her parents happen to be in Miri, why didn't she post it to the hotel or so? this is really awkward.

Well Rachel Davey, if you are reading this. As much as i hate to invade other people's privacy or committing a federal crime by opening and reading your mail, i am really curious and eager to know how did your mail ended up in my mail box.

My sister will be the good Samaritan, she will mail you the letter back and i hope you don't get the wrong address next time. Cheers!

Good bye hometown

So it was my last day in Limbang, me and my cousins decided to go around town to have look at it. Nothing much has change there, except for a couple of commercial buildings. Opposite the town is a water village, a water village similiar to the one at Brunei. I don't there is any other way than a boat to get there, not to mention i saw a tennis court there too but it was too far for my camera to capture.

Limbang is also one of the best place to purchase fresh seafood besides Kota Kinabalu, the mud crabs here are spanking cheap. Since i went there during Chinese new year, none of the guys was selling.

I won't be coming back to this home town of mine that soon, probably i'll come back again when i need to get away from city life

Black & white

Since Chinese new year is one of the only time i get to meet my beloved cousins, i decided to give them a potrait shot without them knowing. I love the facial expression of a person when they don't notice you taking their photo, it turns out fabulous. I tried three different technics of editing, here are the results.

Limbang day 2

Limbang day 2 was the first day of Chinese new year, the time where all my grandfather's visitors will flock in. Since my grandfather's house backyard is a jungle and i am not kidding, it's a real jungle behind there. I decided to go up the hill to get a some shots, i did not dare to go deep inside without fully equipted.

There was so many insects and plants that you don't see everyday, i was lucky to be able to grab a few shots of the insects without using a zoom lens. Believe me, it was not easy to photograph the insects close up without scaring them away. That gives me a good reason to purchase a 70mm-200mm lens? or a macro? well i will need a zoom lens that is for sure.

More photos to come on Limbang day 3.
